Wilderness Elements
“The wilderness holds answers to more questions than we have yet learned to ask” – Nancy Wynne Newhall
Wilderness: (1): A tract or region uncultivated and uninhabited by human beings (2): an area essentially undisturbed by human activity together with it’s naturally developed life community.
Elements: (1): Any of the four substances air, water, fire and earth formerly believed to compose the physical universe (2): the state or sphere natural or suited to a person or thing.

In wide open spaces there exist places with minimal human disturbance, places were the natural order of life, as it has existed for millions of years continues to pulsate, made up by the elements and the living creatures that naturally exist in these magical and ancient areas. One of the best regions in the world to experience these moments, these places, is Southern Africa. With almost mythical areas such as the Fish River Canyon, Sossusvlei, Etosha, the Okavango, Hwange, Victoria Falls, the Kruger National Park and many more spread out across the sub-region, across countries like South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Lesotho and Mozambique.
Having been born and raised in Southern Africa and with a yearning to see more and experience more of both the region, the continent and, in time, the world we decided to turn our lives in a different direction, to step off the beaten path and venture into, what is for us, the relative unknown.
With a passion for nature, wildlife, conservation, travel and photography Wilderness Elements is the first step in our journey along an unknown path to a vague goal, like a mountain peak in the distance we have an idea of where it is we want to go but we are not yet sure of the path there and what to expect when we arrive.
This is our journey, our thoughts and our experiences, the pieces of the puzzle that make up our journey to see more, do more and hopefully have a positive impact on the world.
